Comprehensive Volunteer Training With Special Olympics Northern California

Special Olympics Northern California (SONC) provides free year-round programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These programs cover sports, health and wellness activities, leadership training, and more. Their mission is to create a community where people with and without intellectual disabilities can make connections, develop healthy lifestyles, achieve success, and experience the joy of sports.

SONC partnered with Simple Learning Systems and the Mandated Reporter Training Platform to create a training for volunteers with their organization. This training provides an overview of mandated reporting in California for any volunteer whose duties involve supervising children.
