Rooted in Love is collaborating with Simple Learning Systems to make online Implicit Bias training more accessible. This partnership helps Rooted in Love further its mission to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion and facilitate lasting transformation in individuals and organizations.

About The Implicit Bias Training

Rooted in Love and Simple Learning Systems collaborated to bring an Implicit Bias Training to the Mandated Reporter Training platform. The course explores the evolutionary roots of bias and its pervasive influence on perception and behavior. It covers the origins of bias, what bias looks like in action, mitigation strategies, and discusses how to recognize and address implicit bias. Goals for the course include:

• Deepen your understanding of the origins of implicit bias and the roles that socialization, culture, and lived experiences play in its development.
• Begin to recognize the subtle yet pervasive ways in which implicit bias shapes perceptions, decisions, and interactions across various contexts.
• Start to identify the impacts of implicit bias on individuals and communities, laying the groundwork for addressing inequities.
• Explore initial strategies to mitigate the effects of implicit bias and foster more intentional, equitable behaviors.
• Commit to ongoing self-reflection and learning as part of a continuous journey toward greater personal and institutional equity.
